How to use this calculator
Convert temperature measurements without looking up a separate conversion factor. The main result uses your selected destination unit, while the equivalence table makes it easy to compare all supported units. Temperature scales use offsets as well as scaling factors, so they cannot be converted by multiplying by a single ratio.
The method
Enter the values in the labeled fields, check the units or selected mode, and choose Calculate. The result includes the applicable working and a breakdown or visual when useful. Change an input and calculate again to update the result.
Value to convert: 25 From: Celsius To: Fahrenheit
Converted temperature: 77 °F
25 °C
Scope and limitations
Ordinary thermodynamic temperatures only; values below absolute zero are rejected.
Common questions
Can I swap the two units?
Yes. Select the desired source and destination, or use the swap-units button to exchange them.
Are live exchange rates involved?
No. These are physical-unit conversions using fixed factors, not a currency converter.
