How to use this calculator
An integer can be negative, positive, or zero, but has no fractional part. This calculator handles two signed integer inputs and preserves exact fractions when a division does not produce another integer. A number-line view accompanies addition for inputs within the supported graph range.
The method
Enter the values in the labeled fields, check the units or selected mode, and choose Calculate. The result includes the applicable working and a breakdown or visual when useful. Change an input and calculate again to update the result.

Scope and limitations
Two operands per calculation. Results use exact integer and fraction arithmetic; decimal equivalents are approximations. A zero divisor is rejected.
Common questions
Can the answer be a fraction?
Yes. For example, 7 divided by 2 is exactly 7/2, even though both inputs are integers.
